Netflix has released the teaser poster and a first look at its forthcoming series The Witcher.
Starring Henry Cavill (Justice League), the series is based on the best-selling fantasy book series of the same name. The Witcher follows Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter who’s struggling to find his place in a world where humans seems more wicked than the monsters he hunts. When Geralt meets a powerful sorceress and a princess with a dangerous secret, the three must navigate the increasingly dangerous Continent together.
Along with the teaser poster for the series, Netflix also released the series’ logo, as well as multiple photos of its three main characters: Cavill’s Geralt, Anya Cholatra’s (Wanderlust) Yennefer and Freya Allen’s (Into the Badlands) Ciri.
Other cast members include Jodhi May (Gentleman Jack), Adam Levy (Knightfall), Emma Appleton (The End of the F***ing World), Lars Mikkelson (House of Cards), Björn Hlynur Haraldsson (Fortitude) and more.
Netflix has also announced that the series will be headed to San Diego Comic-Con for a panel hosted by Yvette Nicole-Brown. The panel will include the three lead actors, as well as showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich (The Umbrella Academy).
