Amy Poehler has a new movie, and she brought all her friends along for the ride.
Alongside Poehler, the new Netflix film Wine Country stars Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, Maya Rudolph, Paula Pell, Emily Spivey, Cherry Jones, Maya Erskine, Jason Schwartzman and Tina Fey. Poehler also directed the film, and created the story alongside its screenwriters Emily Spivey and Liz Cackowski.
As if that cast sheet isn’t enough on its own, the Netflix synopsis for the film reads:
In honor of Rebecca’s (Dratch) 50th birthday, Abby (Poehler) plans a scenic Napa getaway with their best, longtime friends. Workaholic Catherine (Gasteyer), post-op Val (Pell), homebody Jenny (Spivey) and weary mom Naomi (Rudolph) are equally sold on the chance to relax and reconnect. Yet as the alcohol flows, real world uncertainties intrude on the punchlines and gossip, and the women begin questioning their friendships and futures.
Wine Country will be available in select theaters May 8 before launching on Netflix May 10. In the meantime, live vicariously through the new trailer (and poster) below.
