There’s some scary news out of Brooklyn, as last night guitarist Joe Perry of legendary hard-rock band Aerosmith collapsed backstage after suffering a cardiac arrest at the Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk.
Perry was playing with his new Hollywood Vampires project, which also features Johnny Depp and Alice Cooper. After stumbling during the show’s first song, Perry sat on the drum kit and continued playing, then walked off stage and collapsed. While members of the NYPD and FDNY helped Perry off the stage, the Hollywood Vampires continued the show.
